I definitely did.

Despite my education, completing my CPA certification and working at Fortune 500 companies, my thinking was not working for me.

There was a disconnect between my paper resume and how I was operating on the inside. 

My mind was often anxious and working overtime to avoid mistakes, confrontation and challenging situations.

I wasn’t using my mental bandwidth as creatively, efficiently or expansively as I could and instead was wasting energy worrying about factors out of my control.

Not only is this exhausting, as a consequence I knew I was not going to be able to take on the opportunities and risks necessary to do the work that deep down felt fulfilling to me and made a bigger contribution to our world.

Applying mindfulness has helped me work with greater clarity, efficiency and courage. It also helped to improve my relationships with others.

Stress and challenges still exist, but I'm more comfortable and trust myself to navigate rather than avoid them.

With that, the even bigger possibilities are that creative thinking and problem solving can open up. We recognize that we actually have significant agency over our thinking which leads to greater motivation and taking new actions to generate better results.
